Only Trade Show Exhibits May Not Be Sufficient For Attracting Customers To Your Booth
Freebies are good motivators for people who attend trade show exhibits. Naturally, this will cost you a little more. But if you will take some risks and play well, you would see that you haven’t made a better investment. This is not to suggest that you rely on handing out freebies alone. Of course, there are other important factors to look into as well such as marketing strategy. Nevertheless, you cannot just hand over free items to everyone who attends or you will spend more than you have to. This article offers you a few guidelines and a few ideas on what to give to your prospective clients
• Think of something useful. –people love giveaways, regardless of the gender and social status. Especially now that the recovery of economy is somewhat slow, everyone would love to have freebies. However, for it to be appreciated, it should be something useful. Otherwise, it may end up in garbage bins too soon; wasting your money. Sometimes, you don’t have to allot more funds just to give something grand as it is the little things that count.
• Have Your Name Engraved On Each Item – It is not enough just to buy something durable and useful; you must also make sure that your customers remember how they received such a gift. Indeed, public memory is very short and that is why it is important to engrave your name and your contact information on each item quite conspicuously. Indeed, such a practice will not only help those who visited your stall to remember you, but it can introduce others to your name as well. Anybody glancing at your product will know that you are there.
• Be Discrete About What To Offer To Whom – It is a fact that whatever you offer will cost you money and so you cannot actually offer freebies indiscriminately to everybody. It is better to have different categories of such gifts. Offer cheap ones to persons walking by, but for ones, who are likely to buy your products, you can offer something better. It is wise to keep the ones meant for mass distribution near the entrance of your booth; but special gifts should be kept somewhere at the back. If you mention the fact while selecting trade show booth rental, the agency will arrange for that.
A Few Ideas
Therefore, we can say that the gifts you buy should be as much attractive as they are useful; moreover, your name should be imprinted on them and finally, you must get different categories of gifts for different people. However, that does not tell us what we actually can buy. In reality, you can offer anything provided they are priced reasonably and are compatible to your nature of business or brand value. Let us look at some common items.
Pens and/or highlighters – Pens make good gifts. They are not only useful, but also come in different price range and so you can buy them for different categories of customers. What is more, they require very little storage space. You see, because of the cost factor, most people hire small exhibit rentals and so space is eternally a problem. Pens take very little space and so they are often the most sought after gifts. You can also consider highlighters because of the same reason. However, the later will be useful only for avid readers or the academics; so be careful.
Custom coffee mugs –almost everybody drinks coffee and this is the primary reason why you cannot go wrong with this idea. But nothing will beat personalized mugs. You can hire someone who would put in names for instance on the coffee mugs. This will be surely better appreciated than a generic mug.
Flashlights – These are something your customer will actually thank you for. They generally come in attractive colors. Choose the shape carefully so that you can imprint your name quite conspicuously.
T-shirts – These too are highly appreciated as gifts. However, if you want to make any impression, you must have quality products and that will naturally increase the price. Therefore, think of its financial viabilities before you start distributing it on mass scale. Indeed, good T-shirts with your name stylishly imprinted may make nice gifts, but such gifts should be reserved for few only.
Notepads – It is also a handy gift. Since the printing of notepads with your name on it is cost-effective, you cannot go wrong on this.
